Data Deletion Request - Amen AI
We respect your right to control your personal data. You can request the deletion of your account and all associated data at any time using one of the methods below.
How to Request Data Deletion
Method 1: In-App Deletion (Recommended)
The fastest way to delete your account and data:
- Open the Amen AI app
- Go to Settings (gear icon)
- Tap Account Settings
- Scroll down and tap Delete Account
- Read the warning and tap Confirm Deletion
- Enter your password to confirm
Your account will be immediately deactivated and data deletion will begin.
Method 2: Email Request
Send a deletion request via email:

- Include: Your registered email address

I would like to request the deletion of my account and all associated data.

⚠️ Important: Before You Delete
- Account deletion is permanent and irreversible
- You will lose access to all your journal entries, saved verses, and meditation history
- Any active subscriptions will be cancelled
- You cannot recover your account after deletion
What Data We Delete
When you request account deletion, we remove:
- Account Information: Email, name, password hash
- Personal Content: All journal entries and prayers
- Activity Data: Meditation sessions, verse interactions, reading history
- Preferences: App settings, notification preferences, themes
- Analytics: Usage patterns linked to your account
- Subscription Data: Payment history and subscription status
What We May Retain
For legal and security purposes, we may retain:
- Transaction records (anonymized) for tax and accounting purposes
- Communications regarding legal matters or abuse
- Anonymized, aggregated data for analytics
Deletion Timeline
- Immediate: Account deactivation and access removal
- Within 24 hours: Personal content deletion begins
- Within 30 days: Complete removal from primary systems
- Within 90 days: Removal from all backups and archives
Data Export
Before deleting your account, you may want to export your data:
- Go to Settings > Account > Export My Data
- You'll receive a ZIP file containing:
- Your journal entries (in JSON and TXT formats)
- Saved verses and favorites
- Meditation history
- Account information
Reactivation
Once your account is deleted, it cannot be reactivated. If you want to use Amen AI again, you'll need to create a new account. Your previous data will not be available.
Third-Party Services
Please note that deleting your Amen AI account does not automatically delete data from third-party services:
- If you used Sign in with Apple/Google, contact them separately for data deletion
- Subscription data may be retained by app stores for their records
